EU Booth at 2020 NAFSA Conference Samples
Fish Eye Fun uses a wide-angle “fisheye" lens with no backdrop. The venue is the backdrop. The primary benefit of Fish Eye Fun is, it's just more fun. Another benefit to Fish Eye Fun is the number of people that can fit in an individual photo. With the fisheye lens we can fit very large groups of people. You will also see your trade show display in the background of the photos. The primary downside to Fish Eye Fun is you may see other vendors in the background of the photos.
Layout Option 1 is how we normally setup (along a wall or in a corner facing out towards the venue). This is best for higher volume events because it creates a better flow.
The 4' x 4' x 34" table in Option 2 is enough space for the computer, printer, text/email sharing tablet, and prop box.
The 4' x 2' x 34" table in Option 3 is enough space for the computer, printer, text/email sharing tablet, and a few loose prop signs.
We will provide these tables with white or black table cloths. Additional colors or branded table cloths are available for an additional fee.
If it's in your budget, you could have CEP build a 2’ x 4’ x 34" or 4’ x 4’ x 34" counter to match the rest of their design.
With Signature Fish Eye Fun, we typically take four photos each session and make enough 4up 4x6 prints for each person in the photo to have their own. We then send the 1up version of each photo to the tablet station for guests to text/email themselves. We also post the 1up versions to an online gallery.
Also, since we take four photos each session, we turn those four photos into animated GIFS that are added to the online galleries.
These print samples were taking at Dental Convention Expo. The GIF sample was taken at America's Center during a Comic Con.

Studio Style uses a “regular" lens and backdrop.
The primary benefit of a backdrop is more control over what is in the image. You won't see other vendors in the background of the photos. The primary downside to a backdrop is the number of people that can be in a photo is limited. An 8' wide backdrop only fits about 5 or 6 people comfortably. It also takes up more space.
We can provide a stock or custom backdrop or we can use one side of your 8' x 8' selfie wall. You could also use the 8' x 8' side of the “storage box" if you want to move the monitor to a different side. See Option 3 as an example.
With any Studio Style, the camera needs to be 8 - 10 feet away from the backdrop.

Our GIF Booths are very different than signature Fish Eye Fun and FEF Studio. It's an iPad and Cloud based system that allow guests to create GIFs and Boomerangs they can text and email to themselves. There are NO PRINTS.
It’s a more automated system but we still include a “GIF-ographer” to help guests and offer posing suggestions and ideas. If they don't like their first attempt, we can delete the first one and try again. Once they've nailed it, guests can text or email themselves their GIFs directly from the iPad. Everything is also uploaded to a special microsite online gallery that can be customized and branded.
Because the next session cannot start until guests are finished texting and emailing
themselves their GIFs, we do not recommend GIF booth for high volume events. The GIF booth is also much more dependent on a stable internet connection to be totally effective.
The primary benefits of the GIF station are the lower cost and smaller footprint.
**The primary downside to the GIF Station is it is dependent on good internet to function properly.**
It is also slower, has no physical prints, and the iPad camera produces lower quality images.
The GIF Station does have a smaller footprint but if it's used with a backdrop, it does need to be 8 - 10 feet away from the backdrop.
Because no computer and printer is needed for the GIF Station, the only table needed would be for any props you'd like to have.
We typically stick with Boomerang GIFs because they are the most popular.
